Created in honor of the tenth anniversary of Seiko Astron GPS Solar, this remarkable watch not only uses Seiko’s very latest GPS Solar caliber 5X53 but has a dial with a radial pattern that echoes the explosive power of a supernova.
When the first Astron GPS Solar watch burst onto the scene in 2012, it ushered in a new era for watch technology. The constant enhancement of Seiko’s GPS Solar technology over the past decade has ensured that Astron’s star still shines as brightly as ever in the watch firmament. With its supernova-inspired dial, a delicate lamé pattern background, and its cutting-edge functionality, this new Limited Edition Astron GPS watch honors a great tradition.
The case and bracelet are made of titanium which is as strong as stainless steel and yet 40% lighter. The super-hard coating ensures that the watch is scratch-resistant. Ceramic cover on the bezel protects from the scratch.
The hands and indexes are coated with a layer of Lumibrite to ensure that Astron’s exceptional timekeeping precision can be enjoyed even in low light conditions. The Lumibrite is in a blue that stands out clearly from the dial.
Our most advanced ever GPS Solar caliber 5X53
The GPS Solar Caliber 5X53 Dual-Time connects up to twice a day to the GPS network to maintain its precision anywhere in the world. It adjusts automatically to Daylight Saving Time and, when the wearer changes time zone, he or she simply pushes a button and the hands move rapidly to the correct local time, thanks to the system that moves the hour, minute, and seconds hands independently. In addition, the wearer is able to change the main time display instantly from home to local time and vice versa. It is a perfect watch for all international travelers. Traveling can be stressful; Astron makes it just a little less so.
